Now Use Your EXCiPACT GMP Certificate for USP's Ingredient Verification Program
USP and EXCiPACT are pleased to announce that applicants to USP’s Ingredient Verification Program for Excipients can now apply their EXCiPACT GMP Certification to the Verification Program.
Applicants are now permitted to submit their EXCiPACT GMP Certificate and Audit reports to USP as an alternative to undergoing a USP-led GMP audit, which would otherwise be the first step in the USP Verification process. It is important to note that all other aspects of USP’s Ingredient Verification Program for Excipients remain unchanged.
The globalization of supply chains has made it crucial to maintain stringent quality standards for excipients. The EXCiPACT certification serves as a robust tool for companies to demonstrate the suitability of their GMPs. By aligning with USP’s Ingredient Verification Program for Excipients, certificate holders can showcase their adherence to GMPs, which is vital for consumer safety and regulatory compliance.
This is another optional benefit for EXCiPACT Certificate holders. They can now share their EXCiPACT Certificate and audit reports with USP when they choose to make a submission to the USP Ingredient Verification Program for excipients.
